F1 Horizon Robin - Flip Phone with Limited Audio

Great Phone. If you are looking at getting back to basic Sunbeam Phones are the way to. I have owned the F1 Daisy for years. No issues. My mom (85) has never owned a smart phone. What makes Sunbeam Wireless flip phones better is they are made with no bloatware. If you have an issue they will get back with you as soon as possible. Keep in mind they are not a big box store and they do not have hundreds of people waiting at an overseas call back center. This is a mom and pop store with mom and pops values. Best plip phones on the market.
So far, I’m really liking the simplicity. It has everything I need and nothing that I don’t. While updating the software on the first run, the phone became slow and the screen was flashing blank. Thinking I did something wrong, I did a factory reset and hadn’t gone back to update it.
I think it would be a fantastic phone if it worked fully. Not sure if I just got a dud or if this is the norm, but this is my experience. All texts/notifications buzz very loudly 3 times each (for example, 2 texts = 6 loud buzzes, 3 texts = 9 buzzes) and I cannot turn this off. If I need my phone to not buzz, I shut it down, which is inconvenient because people can’t reach me when my phone is off. Also, the camera, flashlight, volume buttons, and hanging up by closing the phone all broke within the first two months. In order to hang up, I press the red button since closing the phone doesn’t work (that’s okay, just a little disappointing). In order to adjust the volume, I put it on speaker phone so I can hear it and then cover the speaker with my hand partially or fully to change how loud it is, which is annoying. If I mess up in hand placements on the speaker I either can’t hear it at all or it is suddenly headsplittingly loud. This is still the only flip phone I’ve found that has no internet or touch screen, so I’ve coped with the issues. The calls and texts always work, and that’s more important than the things that broke. I feel bad to leave this review because this is a small company that is trying to make the only product like this to currently exist in the market, and I want to support that. I wouldn’t recommend this phone to anyone though.
Everything I want and nothing I don’t want!
Great phone! Perfect for my 13 year old daughter who wanted to call/text her friends. Love the clear documentation of the feature options on the website. Thank you for making a true feature phone without web browsing and apps!
