Add or Edit APN setting

You are here:

To add or edit an APN setting, you must have a SIM card installed in the device. If the SIM card is Verizon, you will be unable to edit the APN settings, as Verizon sets them automatically.

To access the APN settings, go to Settings / Connectivity / Mobile Network / Access Point Names.

To add a new APN, tap the plus near the top right and enter the relevant info.

Tap near the upper right corner in the blank area again and select Save in the menu that’s shown.

Press the BACK key when finished.

Some common APNs for example:

  <apn carrier="ATT H2O"
      mcc="310"
      mnc="410"
      apn="prodata"
      mmsc="http://mmsc.mobile.att.net"
      mmsproxy="proxy.mobile.att.net"
      mmsport="80"
      type="default,supl,mms"
      protocol="IPV4V6"
      roaming_protocol="IPV4V6"
  />

 <apn carrier="ATT ConsumerCellular"
      mcc="310"
      mnc="410"
      apn="ccdata"
      mmsc="http://mmsc.mobile.att.net"
